Like many of the world’s best whiskies, this Glenfidditch Grand Reserve Single Malt is matured in Speyside, where it dwells amongst the Cairngorm mountains for 21 years in oak barrels. Unlike other whiskies, however, this isn’t the end of its journey; the distillery then finishes it with up to four months in its hand-selected rum casks, which are treated with a secret recipe from three topical islands to awaken a spicy flavour in the malt.
